I have a MT180D which is the same as the IH235. Very nice tractor. Your price is reasonable if the condition is good. ....

Like Jeff, I have an IH 254. It came with a Woods 5' belly mower. I traded the belly mower in on a three point mower. I bush hog and finish mow and the belly mower tied the tractor up. I have had this tractor for three years now. Other than fuel, oil and filters I have not spent any money on it. The 234 is a lowboy version with the same engine in the 244. I saw one at a dealer in Southern Illinois last year. Turf tires and 5' 3 point mower. Think he was looking for $7,000. I think $5,000 for a tractor with belly mower and loader is a good price. Don't know anything about the Ford but if you need a loader and a mower you will not be able to get them for the price difference. Buy the package. ....

I have had my IH244 MFD for about 2 months now. Bought it in North Central MTfor $6080 with Farmhand Dunham Lehr 48" Loader and Woods 5' 3pt finish mower. It has 980 hours on it. Haven't had any problems except all loader frame mountingbolts were loose and I broke one off trying to remove it. It was too long, hadbottomed out & been over tightened by the prev.owner. Indeed it was not much fun at all trying to drill out & re-tap it. Finally ended up removing the wholeloader frame, cleaning all holes with a tap, installing new bolts with locktite, torquing to spec. It works good now. Kubotas, JDs, and Kiotis seem to be mostpopular around here (Helena,MT), but are selling $8000 to $15000 range. Too muchfor me right now. Glad someone else out there owns IH. ....
